From A45 – take A452 signposted Leamington Spa and Balsall Common at Stonebridge Island (Malt Shovel), at next Island proceed ahead (3rd exit), at next island take 2nd exit into Bradnocks Marsh Lane (Next to Aston Martin Dealership) under railway bridge turn right.
From Solihull Option 1. At J5 of M42 head towards Knowle (Warwick Road) turn left into Jacobean Lane (Opp Copt Heath Golf Club), at staggered Cross roads go straight ahead towards Barston, drive through the village and over the River bridge and take the next left into Bradnocks Marsh Lane, just before the railway bridge turn left.
From Solihull Option 2. Go to Catherine De Barnes, drive through the village and turn right at the island signposted to Barston, at T Junction turn left. At staggered Cross roads go straight ahead towards Barston, drive through the village and over the River bridge and take the next left into Bradnocks Marsh Lane, just before the railway bridge turn left.
From Kenilworth head to Balsall Common and proceed towards Hampton in Arden (A452 Kenilworth Road), turn left into Bradnocks Marsh Lane (Next to Aston Martin Dealership) under railway bridge turn right.
Road Closures
The A452 is currently closed at the Stonebridge Island (A45) to Hampton in Arden, (return route is open) from 16th March to 19th May 2019. The diversion is sending traffic that arrives at the Stonebridge Island, to Coventry and back, then into Meriden and back onto the A452 (approx 15 mins drive). This is not necessary, if you head towards Coventry and take the first exit onto Shepards Lane, towards Maxstoke (Forest of Arden), then at the T junction turn right, this will bring you to the same point in Meriden, but is only a 4 minute diversion.
On Sunday 12th May the Velo cycle race is being held on roads around Birmingham and Coventry. With the above closure, it would make it very difficult to get to the golf club but we have been in touch with the council and they are going to open up at least one lane of the A452 to allow traffic from Stonebridge Island to approch the golf club.
It is however not going to be possible to get to us if you are on the wrong side of the track in Balsall Common, Meriden, Berkswell etc, you may have to head towards Coventry to get to the A45 or find a route where the cycle track crosses a bridge etc..
